Alan is a shareholder of the firm. He has a Bachelors and Masters degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining Steve Friedman in 1985, he worked with an international accounting firm.

Alan is the Director of the Audit and Accounting, and the Estate and Trust areas. He has extensive experience in business consulting, tax planning, and financial statement reporting for business entities and individuals.

He is a member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, and the Family Firm Institute.
